Refund policy

Terms, Conditions, Shipping & Returns:

Refund Policy: Our products can be returned within 7 days of the receipt of the product. A new product may be exchanged for another product or returned for a refund, subject to both return shipping charges and a 45% restocking fee for all orders. In stock & clearance furniture is final sale. 

To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The product was delivered to you in the last 7 days.
  • The product isn't used or damaged.
  • You obtained a Return Merchandise Number (RMN) from Wellington’s.

Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return.

Wellington's will arrange for pick-up of furniture after you obtain the RMN.

Cancelations: Cancelations and changes are not accepted after the leather has been cut. If cancelation occurs before the leather is cut or on any in stock item, the customer will be charged a $150.00 cancelation charge.

For cancelations after your order is in process, our restocking fee will apply along with any applicable freight charges. 

If for any reason you are not satisfied: we will gladly exchange or refund your purchase, less freight, both ways, and a 45% restocking fee.  You have 7 days to notify Wellington’s.

Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable.

Restocking Fee: All returned items are subject to a 45% restocking fee, plus the cost of return shipping to the warehouse in North Carolina. 

Delivery Access: The consumer acknowledges that they have checked all dimensions within their home and property to assure that all items are deliverable.  Access to the home is free and clear to allow an oversized truck to the home. 

Be certain that you measure for all the furniture you are ordering to assure all items are deliverable to your home, including doorways, hallways, etc. BEFORE placing your order. After you have made sure that your furniture will fit into your home, you need to make sure that our delivery service can get safely to your home.  Any driveway or truck size restrictions outside of the home must be noted prior to your delivery attempt. 

You WILL be responsible for all costs if your furniture is undeliverable due to limited access.  Items that are not deliverable due to restrictions will be left at the home in a room where the furniture will fit or a garage or enclosed patio.  If this is not possible, the consumer will be responsible for all return freight charges and a 45% restocking fee. 

Delivery Times: In stock and quick ship furniture will deliver faster than custom orders. Custom orders can take weeks to months for delivery depending on your location and factory backlogs. For detailed time estimates, please phone our sales department. 

Delivery: Wellington's has selected some of the finest white glove delivery services in the Southeast to deliver our furniture. While we try to give a fair estimate of when the completed furniture will be delivered, we cannot be held responsible for delays in production or delivery.

The delivery companies will do all that they can to deliver your furniture in perfect condition and within a reasonable time frame. Delivery services run seven days per week, with some before and after business hours delivery appointments available. Although the delivery companies will work within the tight schedules of our customers, please try to be as flexible and available as possible to accept your delivery.

Freight delivery is not an exact science and there are many things that can cause delays in the freight industry. Things such as traffic backups or accidents, equipment breakdown, weather, and unloading delays at scheduled stops will all cause delays in delivery and cannot be predicted. Neither Wellington's nor the delivery services we use can be held responsible for delays that are out of our control.

All deliveries are 100% insured by the carrier. In the unlikely event of damage, any and all issues must be noted on the bill of lading at time of delivery or insurance coverage is waived by the consumer.  If you sign the bill of lading without any damage or concern being noted, you are releasing both the delivery service and Wellington’s from any liability.  Your signature releases the carrier and Wellington’s Leather Furniture from liability or harm except noted on the bill of lading upon delivery.  Only defective or damaged items can be returned.  The delivery service and Wellington’s reserves the right to remanufacturer any item deemed freight damage.

Delivery surcharges may apply to some areas or zip codes.

If delivery is delayed by the customer, storage fees will apply.

Measurements: Because our leather furniture is handcrafted, if exact measurements are required, please mention this to your sales consultant during the ordering process as handmade leather furniture can vary up to four inches off the published specifications. 

Defective Furniture: You are ordering custom made furniture that is made especially for you. These are one-of-a-kind custom made furniture pieces.  Although all the furniture sold by Wellingtons is inspected before your delivery a defect may not be noticed until use begins.

On rare occasions a manufacturer defect can occur.  Wellington’s and the factory involved reserve the right to rectify without returning the items.  Any and all issues are subject to inspection before determining.  We will work with both you and the factory to find a suitable resolve that is fair to all parties.

Any dispute or litigation involving Wellington’s Furniture shall be governed by the laws and rules of the court of South Carolina.  Furthermore, all litigation wherein Wellington’s is a party shall be brought in the forum state, South Carolina.  Any litigation brought in another state shall be of no force and/ or effect.

Lay-Away: Free lay away for up to six (6) months. All items must be paid for in full prior to scheduling delivery. 

Taxes: Wellington's is not responsible for collecting or submitting sales or use taxes for any state other than South Carolina. Each state manages and dictates their own policies and requirements. South Carolina residents add the applicable sales tax to the purchase price.

Manufacturers' Warranties: All manufacturers represented by Wellington's Leather Furniture offer warranties. Warranties do not cover abuse or neglect, only manufacturing defects. For specific warranty information contact your sales consultant or refer to the style purchased on our website.  The warranty information is found under the “I” for information.

Our furniture gallery features only the best quality leather furniture manufactures. Hair oil, hair gels, body lotions, some medications, etc. can have a chemical reaction to leather that can cause staining, fading, discolorations, and color changes, which are not covered under any manufacturer’s warranty.

Extended Warranties: Extended warranties are handled through a third party, NOT Wellington’s Furniture.  They can be contacted by phone or email.  Please reference your warranty paperwork for their contact information and warranty limitations.  Any warranty claims require 30-day reporting and are at the discretion of the policy issuer to determine claim eligibility.
