Wellington’s began its journey in the Carolina’s back in 1982. We are now located in Charleston, South Carolina. Our owner raised all three of her daughters in the industry. By bringing them into the company one by one our combined experience is over 60 years. At Wellington’s we work as a team and as a family. Together we have shopped the marketplace to bring together in one place a unique furniture shopping experience for everyone.
Wellington’s has hand selected brands that will fit in everyone’s budget without sacrificing quality. We offer many styles and leathers that other companies don’t have access to. Custom Built Leather Furniture is what we do best! You will notice we do not offer a shopping cart for online purchases for anything other than premade stock. We want you to have a personal shopper to help you select the perfect look and leather for your lifestyle, comfort, and budget.

We like supporting local furniture brands. After all, the quality is better in the Carolinas. Like us the men and women that build our furniture take tremendous pride in their work. It’s all about attention to detail! You can buy leather furniture at most any box stores or furniture stores but it’s not the same and the price will be much higher.

Meet the Team
Donna Frehafer
President & Founder
Donna, our founder, started Wellingtons in 1982. With her passion for decorating and quality home furnishings it was the perfect fit. Decades later she continues to work in the office every day. Her wisdom and love for what she does keep the staff motivated and customers love her suggestions. After 40 plus years she still takes part in all aspects of her company.
Stephanie Pitts
Stephanie, the oldest daughter, started with the company while attending college at Appalachian State University. That was almost 2 decades ago. Although her degree is in criminal justice, she finds herself more at home here. She loves working with customers and helping them design the leather furniture of their dreams. Energetic and dedicated to getting things done right and on time.
Caroline Bilodeau
Caroline, the baby, is a graduate of Western Carolina University, with a degree in early childhood development. She chose to join Wellington’s full time in 2018. She oversees all social media and keeps the website up to date and looking colorful. She also enjoys working chats. We love having her here with us as she is a joy to have around and so talented.
Samantha Hampton
Meet Samantha, the middle daughter. After attending college at East Tennessee State University she started her career as a student housing auditor and consultant. She continues with that career and works with us as she can. She enjoys doing both. This allows her to be independent and still stay part of our furniture family.
